Seasonal Preschool: Ages 3-5 Years old, during the September to June School Year
Our Seasonal Preschool room is geared towards families who do not need full day care or care during the summer months. Seasonal preschool runs September through June and follows the Tulpehocken School District as far as holiday or weather related closures, delays or early dismissals. The program runs from 9:00am-12:00pm and/or 12:30-3:30pm. Meals are not included in this classroom nor is a nap time. This classroom will have a much more limited outside play time as well to ensure these students receive as much curriculum learning time as possible during their shorter days.
This classroom is still focused on Kindergarten readiness and you will see the same curriculum, The Creative Curriculum, paired with the PA Learning Standards for Early Learning, being implemented and weekly lesson plans being followed, along with worksheets and circle times.

Our Curriculum
We use the Keystone STARS approved "Creative Curriculum" which we also pair with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood to ensure kindergarten readiness. We also have adopted a second curriculum, "Early Sprouts," which places an emphasis on healthy eating habits to establish a foundation for lifelong health and nutrition. With this curriculum we have added an outdoor classroom garden which the children plant, care for, harvest, and eat from. We also have a chicken coop which the children are responsible for feeding, watering, and collecting the eggs from, which we also eat. They are not only learning about healthy eating habits and where their food comes from but also responsibility.
